Each year MASH hosts a selection of independent artists from around the world for a two-day choreography competition, at the end of which four artists win cash prizes and invitations to various platforms around the world.

This year, artists from the United States, France, Cyprus, Spain, Russia and Italy were selected.

Due to the circumstances, the annual competition will be postponed until 2021.

In the meantime, we paired each competition artist with a Jerusalem-based artist. The pairings watched one another’s work and then shared a compelling dialogue, which you can watch here. Later this year, the partnerships will continue to collaborate creatively in preparation for meetings and residency programs that will be presented as part of the 2021 editions of the Jerusalem International Choreography Competition.
