Festival - Premieres

MASH Festival Artistic Guidance and Curator- Rachel Erdos :

It is a great honor to collaborate with Machol Shalem for the 3rd year in a row. Machol Shalem is an incredibly important piece in the Israeli dance puzzle. As an organization, Machol Shalem prioritizes artists and has worked tirelessly for many years to foster opportunities for local and international artists. 

I am proud to be a part of their curatorial team and to work closely with Ofra and Ruby, who are the driving force behind this organization. We are thrilled to show work in person this year to both local guests and international visitors. Our program includes six new works, which will premiere alongside the showcase (the international guests will be invited to see a dress rehearsal of some of these works) These 6 works were created by different artists at different stages in their career. 

One of our goals this year was to present fresh voices alongside more established artists, shorter and longer works, solos as well as group pieces. 

Each of the artists brought their life experience, movement language, and personal voice in a sensitive, open, and clever manner. 

These works will be presented alongside a rich range or works created over the last few years. 

We hope you will enjoy your time with us, get to see the works, meet the artists, be moved emotionally, and feel the urge to move physically. We thank you for joining us.
